Welcome to the official web-site of

 Histon Cricket Club

Histon Cricket Club has achieved the ECB's Club Mark status (No. 01079), adopting the ECB's Safe Hands policy and appointing / training a Welfare Officer. It is fully committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment in which to play the finest game in the world.

The club's 1st XI is one of the better amateur teams in the region, with no paid professionals, playing in the Tucker Premier League, with the 2nd XI and 3rd XI in the Senior League and Junior League respectively. We also have a midweek team playing in Business House League 2, with fixtures predominantly on a Tuesday night.

The cricket square is maintained by a full-time groundsman who also happens to be the Club Captain, resulting in a superb batting wicket which also offers assistance to bowlers who are prepared to bend their back, crank their wrist or even flex their elbow by up to 20 degrees. This season we also have brand new state of the art outdoor double bay nets.
On Saturday evenings all three senior teams congregate at the nearby The Railway View pub in the village.

New members are always welcome at Histon Cricket Club, whatever their age or playing ability.

We run 3 senior teams on Saturdays. Senior practice is on Thursday evenings from 6pm, with the free use of a bowling machine at other times.
